Headteacher's Welcome

Thank you for visiting our website and I am pleased to welcome you to Mowmacre Hill Primary School.

Our school is a fantastic place to be! We strive for excellence and are united in providing experiences that will support children in their life-long learning. Our curriculum provides pupils with a breadth of opportunities to expand their horizons. Our dedicated staff work together to provide pupils with opportunities to raise their aspirations.

The wellbeing of our children is equally important to us and we put this at the heart of everything that we do for our pupils and their families. We work hard to ensure that our environment is safe and secure so that our children can flourish. We strongly believe that children will achieve their full potential when they also have the support of their parents and local community, therefore as a school we work hard to build these relationships.

We put four key values at the core of our school community. At Mowmacre we want all children to:

• Persevere
• Succeed

We group all our children into four teams, named after these values. Children earn points for living the school values and are rewarded for their achievements. We believe this is important to promote a positive culture where children aspire 

We are part of the Discovery Schools Academy Trust, which is a family of schools across Leicestershire and Rutland. We have the privilege of working with teachers and staff members from schools across Discovery as well as other local schools to share ideas and practice which goes towards enhancing the learning experiences for our children.

This website aims to give you a taster of our school, as well as providing regular updated information for both parents and pupils. I hope that you love our school as much as we do. As Headteacher, I am very proud of all our pupils, the staff and our families who all work together to make Mowmacre Hill the centre of our community.
